NCFE Level 1 Award In Music Technology
Course Length:
One session per week for 8 weeks (30 hours)
Study Method:
Recording & mixdown sessions in the 'big' studio
Suitable For:
Students with experience of recording in Studios / Experienced in Home Studios / Those wishing to improve their mixing skills ; ask the tutor for details.
Entry Requirements:
At least 16 years old on 31st August 2010
The Course
This portfolio based course covers the mixing desk, microphones, recording devices, signal processors and monitoring the mixing process. Individuals will learn the techniques of the trade and how to avoid some of the common pitfalls made by engineers and producers
Course content includes
Advanced use of the mixing desk, noise gates, compression, multi effects.
